OpenAI has recently made an exciting announcement regarding ChatGPT, their artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot. Users in India and several other countries can now download ChatGPT on their Android devices.
The company revealed this news through a tweet on Tuesday, stating that the Android version is now available for download in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil. OpenAI has plans to expand the availability of ChatGPT to more countries within the next week. The app’s description on Google Play Store highlights its capabilities, which include syncing chat history across devices and receiving the latest improvements from OpenAI, IANS reported.
With ChatGPT, users can benefit from instant answers, personalized advice, and creative inspiration. Notably, last week, OpenAI introduced a new feature called ‘customized instructions’ for ChatGPT. This feature enables users to share information with the AI chatbot, allowing for more tailored and future-oriented conversations.
Currently available in Beta for Plus users, the company intends to roll out the customized instructions feature to all users soon. Users have the flexibility to edit or delete their custom instructions at any time, and these instructions will not be shared with others who view the conversation.
OpenAI has provided instructions on how to access this feature on different platforms. For iOS users, it can be found under ChatGPT Account Settings – Custom Instructions. On the web, users can access it by clicking on their name, selecting ‘Custom Instructions,’ and then entering their instructions in the provided fields.
Notably, OpenAI is committed to user privacy. When a user chooses to delete their OpenAI account, any custom instructions linked to their account will be deleted within 30 days as part of the account deletion process. Additionally, last month, OpenAI updated the ChatGPT application on iOS, adding Bing integration for Plus plan users, enhancing the user experience even further.
