MY FM, a socially responsible radio network, has launched the ‘D Negative’ campaign in Chandigarh to tackle the alarming drug menace.
Supported by the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Chandigarh Police, the campaign encourages individuals to report drug peddlers, dealers and users.
RJ Shonali, the host of MY FM‘s morning show, spearheaded the campaign. Victims and informants can reach out to the dedicated helpline, resulting in numerous calls pouring in with personal stories and valuable information about drug abuse.
Amanjit Singh, Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau, debunked the myth that drugs enhance focus, emphasizing their harmful impact on health and the risk of addiction. The tri-city area comprising Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir has become a hub for drug consumption, facilitated by the dark web and cryptocurrencies.
The ‘D Negative’ campaign received commendation from people who praised its success in collaboration with MY FM, Chandigarh Police and NCB. The campaign concluded with a gathering of over 25,000 people at the Attari Border, pledging support in the fight against drugs.
Rahul Namjoshi, CEO of MY FM, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to the campaign and affirmed their commitment to addressing social issues in the future.
