WhatsApp the Meta-owned platform has announced a faster and more private way to transfer chat history between devices running the same operating system, allowing you to stay connected even when a user changes devices.
Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement in this regard.
Users can now save their entire chat and media history without having to exit the app for the first time.
The transfer process is authenticated with a QR code, data is only shared between your two devices and is fully encrypted during transfer, making it more secure than using unofficial third-party apps that lack clear privacy practices and are more private than cloud services.
It is faster than backing up and restoring your chat history, and you can now transfer large media files and attachments that were previously too large to save.

If you’re ready to transfer your chats, make sure both devices are physically present, connected to Wi-Fi, and have location enabled. To finish the process, go to Settings > Chats > Chat transfer on your old phone and scan the QR code displayed on the screen with your new phone.
