Microsoft has begun rolling out an update to the Photos app in Windows 11 that includes a slew of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on user feedback.
Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels are receiving the update.
Users can view, organize, and share photos from their PC, OneDrive, and iCloud using the Photos app in Windows 11.
Microsoft has included features such as slideshow experience, timeline scrollbar, and spot fixes in this update.
Users can now relive their memories and view photos in a slideshow format, complete with transitions, animations, and 25 original music soundtracks to choose from, thanks to the slideshow experience.
Since the launch of the new Photos app in Windows 11, this has been the most requested feature by the community, IANS reported from SanFrancisco.
Furthermore, the tech giant added a timeline scrollbar to the All Photos, OneDrive, and iCloud Photos gallery views, which groups photos by year and month.
Users can now easily jump to any point in time and find the photos they want thanks to the scrollbar.
The spot fix feature can now be used to remove blemishes or unwanted areas from photos.
In addition, the company has fixed an issue in which audio in video files was muted by default.
The app now automatically plays audio and remembers user preferences across videos.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has made the Phone Link feature for iOS available to all Windows 11 users, with iMessage support in 39 languages and 85 markets worldwide.
This new feature will allow users to connect a Windows 11 PC to an iOS mobile device and easily connect with their contacts.
