‘HIT: The Second Case’, a recently released Telugu film starring Adivi Sesh in the lead role, will be available on Prime Video beginning January 6, according to the makers.
The film is written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, and it is produced by Prashanth Tipirneni.
The film is a sequel to the director’s previous film, ‘HIT: The First Case’, which was released in 2020.
The producers also hinted at the end that a third installment is in the works, with actor Nani starring.
Meenakshi Chaudhary, Rao Ramesh, and Komalee Prasad play pivotal roles in ‘HIT 2’.
The plot revolves around a series of heinous murders that rock the foundations of a peaceful town in Vizag. Krishna Dev aka KD of the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) is tasked with solving the mystery and apprehending the serial killer before any more women are killed by his psychopathic rampage.
KD soon discovers, unwittingly exacerbating the situation, that he is following in the footsteps of no ordinary criminal. Along with his trusted dog- Max, and a team of forensic experts, KD’s investigation of the mystery raises the stakes unbelievably high, as he finds himself in an unusual situation when the mysterious layers of the crime begin to unravel.
“Following the success of ‘The First Case’, we endeavored to further build on the HIT franchise by immersing the audience in a realistic yet nerve-wracking crime story,” said writer and director Sailesh Kolanu, “ As difficult as it was to write and direct The Second Case, it was an extremely rewarding experience.”
“Playing a cop is never easy,” Adivi Sesh added, “The intensity, the seriousness, and the emotional trajectory following the arc of the storyline required more preparation than the physical aspects, mannerisms, and body language of the character.”
