Apple has applied to Yamuna Authority for land to manufacture the new iPhone 16 in India, along with three associated companies.

The companies have proposed establishing a unit on approximately 23 acres of land for an investment of Rs 2,800 crore.

Apple and the associated companies proposed the investment at a meeting in Korea, IANS reported from New Delhi.

Seiko Advance Limited, an ink manufacturing company, expressed a desire to manufacture its product on five acres of land in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s Sector 29 (YEIDA).

The company plans to invest Rs 850 crore and employ thousands of people.

According to YEIDA CEO Dr. Arun Vir Singh, Apple and associated companies will be provided with land in Sector 29, which is quite developed and has many available facilities.

He also stated that the companies would be able to begin production once the construction was completed and 10 percent of the funds were deposited.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious.
