E-Gaming Federation has recently appointed Dr. Aruna Sharma (former Secretary, of the Ministry of Electronics and IT and a development economist) and Satish Mathur (former DG of Maharashtra Police) to its advisory panel.
In their roles, the senior professionals will advise EGF on responsible gaming, global best practices for player protection, and bringing about regulatory clarity in the e-gaming industry.
This move comes as part of EGF’s efforts to build a safe, responsible, fair, and transparent environment in which the players can enjoy gaming responsibly while helping the industry to grow sustainably.
Mathur’s input will be valuable to curb online fraud and keep the online gaming ecosystem secure, thanks to his veritable experience in handling cybercrime. His security expertise and experience as a law enforcer will help EGF form a robust security framework and a sturdier code of conduct.
Dr. Sharma’s deep-rooted insights and expertise in formulating policies will be significant for EGF in developing robust policy frameworks and combating challenges in the online gaming space, Economic Times reported
