Aaj Tak, one of India’s leading Hindi news channel, has launched ‘Sarkar’, a brand-new show that brings to its viewers vibrant stories from Uttar Pradesh, a state that is central to Indian politics and holds an important place in the country’s modern history.
‘Sarkar’ will present to its viewers stories from the State that are both historically and politically important. The State is going into Assembly elections early 2022.
The show will highlight stories of various government formations, right from the time of the late Govind Vallabh Pant to the present Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a press release from Aaj Tak said.
With ‘Sarkar’, the India Today Group has once again delivered yet another version of innovative elections related programming — a space that has been the hallmark of the group. Aaj Tak will present to its viewers rich stories from a land that has given us great sages, the emergence and evolution of religions along with two great inspiring epics of India, the Ramayan and the Mahabharat.
As part of an internal initiative to promote the new show, team Aaj Tak has produced a title track ‘Yeh Bhoomi Uttar Pradesh Hai’, a powerful song-based video that takes viewers through a journey of the State from the past to the present, giving meaning to life and times in Uttar Pradesh.
The show will air every Saturday at 10 pm.
