Telecom company, Bharti Airtel (Airtel), India’s premier communications solutions provider, on Monday announced the appointment of Rajiv Sharma as Head of Investor Relations with effect from October 1, 2021.
In his new role, Sharma will be reporting to Badal Bagri, Chief Financial Officer (India and South Asia), Airtel.
He will be responsible for ensuring that Airtel is appropriately represented with investors, lenders, equity partners, and financial institutions, an official statement from Airtel said.
Sharma is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of experience in Capital Markets, Corporate Strategy, Consulting, IPOs, Fundraising, and Equity Research.
He joins Airtel from Spark Capital Advisors where he was Director of Investment Banking and Head – Digital Research. Prior to that, he worked with organisations such as SBICAP Securities, HSBC, and PWC.
Sharma holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance from ICFAI, Hyderabad, a certification from Wharton School on Strategic Thinking and Leadership, and is also a certified personal coach from ICF. He is passionate about helping start-ups and works with first-time entrepreneurs as a mentor.
