Prime Video has announced September 25, 2026 as the worldwide premiere date for its upcoming original film ‘Don’t Be Shy. According to a Prime Video press release, the young adult romantic comedy is produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, the film follows themes of friendship, young love, heartbreak, dreams and the challenges of growing up. It features four newcomers Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati in the lead roles.

The film also stars Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik in key roles. Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani have co-produced the film.

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video (SVOD) and Amazon MGM Studios India, said the film brings fresh talent and offers a heartfelt story about friendship, love and growing up.

Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, co-founders of Eternal Sunshine Productions, said ‘Don’t Be Shy’ is a special project that explores the experiences of being young, including friendships, first love, heartbreak and finding one’s identity.

‘Don’t Be Shy’ will stream exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi with English subtitles across India and more than 240 countries and territories from September 25, 2026
