Actors Imani Lewis and Tanya Wright have joined the cast of the upcoming horror drama film ‘Killa’. The movie will be directed by Laci Dent, who is making her feature film directorial debut with the project.
According to an UNI report, ‘Killa’ tells the story of Asa Jones, a young girl from Louisiana who dreams of becoming a successful basketball player and earning a college scholarship. However, when her dream begins to slip away, she finds herself caught up with a mysterious force that changes her life in unexpected ways.
The film is expected to begin production in August 2026. It is being produced by Morgan Bentz, with several industry professionals serving as executive producers. Imani Lewis is known for her role in the Netflix series First Kill and has also gained recognition as a Grammy winning songwriter. Tanya Wright is best known for her work in the popular series Orange Is the New Black.
Director Laci Dent, who is originally from New Orleans, has previously worked on several acclaimed projects and is now set to make her feature film debut with ‘Killa’. With a strong cast and an interesting mix of horror, drama, and sports elements, ‘Killa’ is already generating interest among movie fans.
