Zee Tamil is set to strengthen its fiction line-up with the launch of its latest prime-time show ‘Paarijatham’, which will premiere on September 8, 2025, airing Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm. The channel said the new series brings together a refreshing storyline and powerful characters designed to strike an emotional chord with audiences.
According to the channel’s press communication, ‘Paarijatham’ follows the life of Isai, played by Alya Manasa, a young woman gifted with a melodious singing voice but silenced by fate after a childhood tragedy that claimed her parents and her hearing. Raised by her relatives, Isai endures the cruelty of her aunt Rukmini (Latha Rao), while finding solace in her cousin Varshini (Shabeena). Her uncle Krishnan (Rajcanth), meanwhile, remains indifferent to the injustice at home.
The story takes a dramatic turn when Subadra Devi (Swathi), a staunch believer in astrology, sets out to arrange marriages for her two sons—Raghav (Nithin) and Vishal (Rakshit). Driven by greed, Rukmini manipulates the horoscopes so Varshini is matched with Raghav, while Isai is married to Vishal. Unaware of his bride’s hearing loss, Vishal enters the marriage with misplaced expectations, setting the stage for conflicts, secrets, and the struggle for mutual acceptance.
The ensemble cast also features Livingston, Siva Subramani, Samritha, Anuradha, and Anjana in pivotal roles, enriching the narrative with layered performances. Zee Tamil stated that ‘Paarijatham’ is designed to be a moving family drama that not only explores themes of resilience and relationships but also connects with viewers across generations.
With its mix of emotions, conflicts, and relatable characters, the show is expected to strengthen Zee Tamil’s prime-time fiction portfolio, reinforcing its promise of delivering stories that mirror the pulse of Tamil households.
‘Paarijatham’ premieres on September 8 at 9.30 pm, and will air every Monday to Friday, exclusively on Zee Tamil.
