In a celebration of India’s grassroots talent, Zee News and Greenply came together to host the third season of ‘Hindustan Ki Shaan’ — a national awards platform dedicated to honouring the country’s unsung heroes of craftsmanship.
Held in Mumbai recently, the ceremony paid a glowing tribute to carpenters, contractors, and artisans whose silent dedication forms the backbone of India’s physical and cultural landscape.
According to a press release from Zee News, ‘Hindustan Ki Shaan – Season 3’ was not just an awards event, but a powerful national salute to skill, dignity, and purpose.
The evening saw the presence of Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Maharashtra’s Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as the Special Guest, alongside noted actor, poet and author Shailesh Lodha, who served as Chief Guest. Rajesh Mittal, CMD of Greenply Industries Ltd., was also in attendance, underscoring the company’s commitment to honouring craftsmanship as a pillar of national growth.
This year’s edition shifted focus beyond mere accolades to the life journeys of those who have spent decades honing their craft. Region-wise winners included Mahesh Kumar Rana (East Zone), Ghulam Nabi (North Zone), Radhe Shyam (South Zone), and Kailash Suthar (West Zone), while the coveted National Award was presented to Ravindra Suthar for his exemplary skills and dedication. Sendil Kumar received the Wood Carving Award for his outstanding artistry, while the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Laxmanan A, whose decades of excellence continue to inspire the carpentry community across India.
Yatnesh Pandey, Greenply CMO, commented, “At Greenply, we believe marketing should not only promote products, but also uplift the communities we serve. The purpose-driven marketing program ‘Hindustan Ki Shaan’ is our tribute to the skilled hands who turn blueprints into reality.”
Echoing this sentiment, Anindya Khare, Marketing Head, ZMCL, said, “‘Hindustan Ki Shaan’ is a reflection of Zee Media’s deep-rooted belief in purpose-driven storytelling. This initiative is not just about honouring excellence in craftsmanship, but about restoring the dignity of work and shining a spotlight on the individuals who shape our world quietly, skillfully, and with unwavering commitment.”
The initiative was anchored around the theme ‘Celebrating the hands that shape dreams and wood alike’ — a message that resonated deeply with both the audience and participants.
