Zee Kannada premiered its new show ‘Jagadhathri’ on September 28, bringing a story that blends family, duty, patriotism, action and love. The series follows an undercover woman police officer as she balances her responsibilities at home with her duty to fight crime.

Mokshitha Pai takes on the titular role of Jagadhathri, a police officer who stands strong both within her family and in her fight against criminals. The story follows her journey as she sets out to clear the name of her mother, a true patriot who has been accused of treason.

In a press release, Zee Kannada said that despite facing harsh words and challenges from her own family, Jagadhathri remains determined to seek justice for her mother.

Crafted for a new generation of viewers, the show brings together a distinctive storyline, powerful characters and a fresh visual treatment, aiming to offer an experience that moves beyond conventional television narratives.

The show has already started generating buzz on social media, with a recently released duet featuring Pai and Vijay Lalitha Surya drawing attention for the popular ‘Jagadhathri Hook Step’.

Speaking about his role, Surya said, “I have not played a character like this in a long time. It feels good to be back in a role that revolves around love and romance.”

Along with Pai and Surya, Kavitha Gowda will be seen in a pivotal role. The return of the three popular actors to television has added to the excitement among their fans.

The series features a strong ensemble cast, including Girija Lokesh, Aruna Balaraj, Lakshmi Siddhaiah, Mico Manju, Vachan Hosamath, Ravi Bhat, Sonia Ponnappa and Mansi Sudhir among others.

Produced by filmmakers and writers Mahesh Rao and Prakash and directed by Mahesh Sarang, ‘Jagadhathri’ is being produced under the Keerthi Akshaya Network banner.
