Zee Cinemalu, the go-to destination for Telugu movie lovers, has completed nine years of entertaining audiences and marked the milestone with a refreshed brand identity and record-breaking growth. The channel, recently rebranded from its iconic ‘Dil Pai Super Hit’ to a warmer, more soulful “With Love”, celebrated its 9th anniversary on September 4, reaffirming its deep connect with viewers across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Over the years, Zee Cinemalu has steadily grown into a household name, evolving from being the fourth entrant in the market to becoming the second most popular Telugu movie channel in under a decade. Backed by a strong line-up of movies and consistent audience engagement, the channel this fiscal achieved an impressive 202 GRPs and a 24 percent market share, while its reach has expanded to 54 million viewers weekly. It also recorded its highest-ever average viewing time of 115 minutes this year.
The channel’s performance is especially noteworthy in Hyderabad, where it commands 253 GRPs, a 25% market share, and a time spent viewing of 138 minutes — solidifying its position as a leader in the urban entertainment market. BARC data further reflects strong gains in rural Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, underlining Zee Cinemalu’s broad appeal across geographies.
“As Zee Cinemalu steps into its ninth year, our rebrand to ‘With Love’ reflects our deep bond with Telugu audiences and our commitment to delivering cinema that touches the heart,” said Anuradha Gudur, Chief Content Officer, Zee Telugu & Zee Cinemalu. “For nine years, Zee Cinemalu has been a cherished part of countless households. This new chapter, infused with love and innovation, elevates our promise to create memorable viewing experiences that resonate deeply with our viewers.”
To mark its anniversary, Zee Cinemalu is bringing a mix of recent blockbuster premieres and evergreen classics to its viewers. Big-ticket titles like ‘Hanuman’, ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’, ‘Sankranthiki Vastunnam’, ‘Thandel’, ‘Saripoda Sanivaram’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and ‘Bhairavam’ headline the line-up, while upcoming releases such as ‘Mitra Mandali’, Single and ‘Kishkindapur’i add freshness to its schedule. The channel’s rich library also includes nearly 15 classics such as ‘Orange’, ‘Stalin’, ‘Hitler’, ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu’ and ‘Athadu’, ensuring something for every cinema lover.
As Zee Cinemalu celebrates nine years of storytelling and entertainment, it continues to invest in diverse content and innovative programming to strengthen its connection with audiences. With its refreshed identity “With Love”, the channel looks ahead to creating an even more immersive cinematic journey for Telugu households in the years to come.
