Audio series platform Pocket FM is harnessing artificial intelligence to revolutionise storytelling in India, opening new avenues for both established and aspiring writers.
The platform has introduced an AI-powered creator suite that allows users to transform text into a fully produced audio show within minutes, significantly reducing the time and cost of production.
According to MoneyControl.com, more than 30,000 AI-driven audio series are already live on Pocket FM, with the figure expected to double by the end of the year. Developed in collaboration with Elevenlabs, the AI voices are designed to deliver natural performances across genres including drama, comedy, fantasy and romance, replacing robotic narration with nuanced, emotion-rich delivery.
“This is not just a content shift but the rise of a new writer economy,” the moneycontrol.com report quoted Prateek Dixit, co-founder of Pocket Entertainment, as saying, “When human imagination meets AI innovation, the possibilities multiply. Writers can now share their work instantly, globally, and sustainably.”
