Warner Bros. Discovery is bringing back its high-stakes survival reality format with ‘Reality Ranis of the Jungle’ S2, set to premiere September 22 on Discovery Channel and discovery+. The all-women adventure series expands its scope this year, moving from dense forests to a rugged coastal wilderness, promising tougher challenges and more drama.
The new season features 12 participants, including Samyukta Hegde, Irena Rudakova, Archana Gautam, and Sara Gurpal. Adding an unpredictable twist, Rakhi Sawant joins the cast, raising the stakes for contestants competing for the “Reality Rani of the Jungle” crown. Actor and reality star Varun Sood reprises his role as host.
Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Kids & Lifestyle – South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, said the show’s return underscores the company’s strategy of redefining non-fiction storytelling. “The phenomenal success of Season 1 reaffirmed that audiences are eager for authentic, high-stakes storytelling. With Season 2, we’re taking that excitement to the next level—blending drama, survival, and the signature Discovery twist,” he noted.
Host Varun Sood added, “Season 2 will be bigger, bolder, and full of surprises. What makes this show special is watching strong personalities transform when pushed beyond their limits. This time, the beach setting brings its own unpredictable challenges.”
The premiere comes in a landmark year for Discovery, which marks 40 years globally and 30 years in India. The format ‘Reality Queens of the Jungle’ is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. International Television Production.
