Warner Bros. Discovery has announced the return of its all-female survival reality show ‘Reality Ranis of the Jungle’, with S2 premiering September 22 on Discovery Channel and discovery+. The new season raises the stakes, shifting the battleground from dense jungles to a rugged coastal wilderness.
According to a press release, the upcoming edition will feature 12 participants tackling high-octane survival challenges against the backdrop of crashing waves and shifting sands. Popular faces like Samyukta Hegde, Irena Rudakova, Archana Gautam, and Sara Gurpal join the fray, alongside the ever-unpredictable Rakhi Sawant, whose entry promises to inject added drama into the contest.
The show retains Varun Sood as its host, a move Warner Bros. Discovery believes will ensure continuity and energy. “Season 1 was a thrilling ride, and I’m excited to be back for another round, this time on the beach,” Sood said, adding that the show isn’t just about physical endurance but about “watching strong personalities transform when they are pushed beyond their limits.”
Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Kids & Lifestyle – South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery, said Season 2 aims to “redefine the boundaries of non-fiction entertainment” while building on the phenomenal response to the debut season. “This season goes beyond just survival—it blends drama, action, and the signature Discovery twist,” he noted.
The format, titled ‘Reality Queens of the Jungle’ internationally, is distributed by Warner Bros. International Television Production. Season 2’s release also coincides with Discovery’s 40th anniversary globally and 30 years of operations in India.
