Vivek Modi has stepped into a new leadership role at JioStar, taking charge as the Head of Brand Solutions & Impact. The announcement was shared by Modi via LinkedIn, signaling his exit from Viacom18, where he previously led the Bangla and Odia cluster as Business Head and Senior Vice President.
Modi’s new role at JioStar marks a shift from traditional broadcasting to the dynamic world of streaming. With JioStar still carving out its niche in India’s competitive OTT landscape, Modi’s appointment is seen as a calculated move to strengthen the platform’s brand partnerships and drive impactful engagement strategies.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head – Brand Solutions & Impact at JioStar!” wrote Modi, who brings with him close to 20 years of experience spanning television, radio, telecom, digital, and advertising. At Viacom18, Modi played a key role in revamping regional entertainment—most notably propelling Colors Bangla Cinema to the top spot in just seven months.
