Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, celebrated for his versatile acting chops, has begun filming his upcoming project, ‘Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan’, in the scenic city of Dehradun. The film is a musical love story that blends heartfelt emotions with soulful melodies, marking Massey’s return to the silver screen after a self-imposed hiatus.
Joining Massey in this cinematic journey is debutante Shanaya Kapoor, with Arushi Nishank also essaying a pivotal role. Directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Mini Films, the film’s screenplay is co-written by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla. Producer Mansi Bagla highlighted the careful casting process, noting that the actors were selected to bring authenticity and depth to this poignant love story, UNI reported.
Massey recently made headlines with his cryptic announcement about taking a break from acting, which led to retirement speculations. However, he clarified in a recent interview that his decision was a temporary pause for self-improvement.
“Acting is all I can do, and it has given me everything I have,” Massey shared. “My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off to better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment. My post has been misinterpreted as a retirement announcement. I want to focus on my family and health and return when the time feels right.”
With its touching narrative, soulful music, and Massey’s return, ‘Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan’ promises to be a significant addition to the romance genre. Fans are eagerly anticipating the magic Massey and his team will bring to the screen.
