Global smart TV operating system VIDAA has announced a strategic partnership with RunnTV, India’s fast-growing streaming technology and content platform, to bring its Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) service, TV Channels, to Indian audiences.
According to ANI, VIDAA confirms that the service will launch in India later this month. The move marks a major milestone for the company as it looks to expand its footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing streaming markets.
TV Channels will offer viewers a 100 percent free, ad-supported experience directly on VIDAA-powered smart TVs. The platform is set to feature a wide mix of global and Indian regional channels spanning entertainment, movies, music, lifestyle, kids, and infotainment. Built into the VIDAA OS, the service promises smooth navigation, instant switching, and high-quality streaming performance without subscription costs.
Guy Edri, CEO of VIDAA, said, “India is one of the most vibrant and rapidly growing streaming markets in the world. With TV Channels, we’re bringing Indian viewers a fresh, premium, and free FAST experience at scale. This launch is a great example of what’s possible when strong partnerships come together. RunnTV‘s deep local expertise, combined with our global platform and long-term vision, shows the power of building something meaningful—together.”
For advertisers and partners, the service will open up scalable monetization opportunities through precision-based targeting and programmatic ad integrations. The collaboration extends beyond content aggregation to include technology integration, distribution, and long-term growth strategies.
Manish Sinha, Founder and CEO of RunnTV, added, “We are excited to partner with VIDAA on the launch of VIDAA Channels in India. At RunnTV, we’ve built strong relationships with regional broadcasters, global content providers, and advertisers, and our technology-first approach makes us the perfect partner to help VIDAA scale its FAST strategy in India. Together, we aim to create a compelling, free streaming destination that connects audiences, content, and brands seamlessly.”
The rollout of TV Channels in India underscores how global platforms are increasingly looking to FAST models to capture viewers in highly competitive streaming markets, while also creating new opportunities for advertisers to engage with audiences in a cost-effective way.
