In a move aimed at deepening its connection with India’s youth, smartphone manufacturer realme has announced Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal as the new brand ambassador for its smartphone category. The announcement was made on Tuesday, just weeks ahead of the anticipated launch of the realme 15 Series.
According to a PTI report, the partnership with Kaushal is set to front the upcoming campaign for the realme 15 Series, which will officially launch on July 24. The collaboration is part of realme’s larger marketing strategy to build emotional and cultural resonance with India’s increasingly style- and performance-conscious audience.
“As we gear up to launch the realme 15 Series on July 24, this partnership marks an exciting step forward in building realme’s emotional and cultural connection with its audience,” said Francis Wong, Chief Marketing Officer of realme India. Wong emphasized that Kaushal’s personality—balancing relatability, charisma, and youth appeal—aligns perfectly with the brand’s values and ambition to empower young consumers.
Vicky Kaushal, known for his roles in critically acclaimed films like ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Raazi’, and ‘Sardar Udham’, enjoys a strong connect with both urban and aspirational segments, making him an ideal choice to represent realme’s energetic brand identity. His addition is expected to boost brand recall and add momentum to the upcoming launch.
The realme 15 Series is already generating buzz in tech circles for expected upgrades in camera, battery performance, and design. With Kaushal at the forefront of the campaign, realme is aiming to make a significant mark in the mid-range smartphone segment.
