Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) will return to India for Season 4 in collaboration with sports network Viacom18 as the exclusive media partner.
The league will be live-streamed on JioCinema and broadcast on Sports18 as part of the partnership.
The franchise-based league, organised by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani and sanctioned by the Table Tennis Federation of India, is set to take place from July 13 to July 30 at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune.
With their performances in previous editions, UTT has seen the emergence of talents such as Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, Manav Thakkar, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Manika Batra, the Economic Times reported.
It has also attracted global stars such as Austria’s reigning European champion Sofia Polcanova (World No. 12), Chinese Taipei’s Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Cheng I-Ching (World No. 9), Hong Kong’s two-time World Championship medallist Wong Chun Ting, and World No. 11 Doo Hoi Kem.
UTT joins Viacom18 Sports’ portfolio of sporting events, which already includes the IPL, WPL, Diamond League, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, MotoGP, NBA, LaLiga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and select BWF events.
