The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) has unveiled its Season 2 campaign film, ‘Poora UP Khelega Kabaddi’, signalling the official on-ground and broadcast announcement of the league’s second edition, set to begin on December 24, 2025, at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The campaign marks a renewed push to deepen UPKL’s connect with kabaddi fans across the state as the league prepares for its return.
According to a press release, the campaign film has been conceptualised and produced by V1 Media and is rooted in a simple yet emotionally resonant narrative that celebrates kabaddi’s journey from local neighbourhoods to the professional arena. Designed as a key pillar of UPKL’s Season 2 promotional rollout, the film reflects the league’s commitment to honouring grassroots aspiration while building a structured, accessible platform for the sport in Uttar Pradesh.
The film opens with a young boy sketching the outline of a kabaddi court using marking powder, symbolising the earliest spark of ambition. As the story unfolds, the boy’s journey moves across different cities in Uttar Pradesh, capturing the sport’s widespread presence and the deep cultural bond people share with kabaddi. The narrative culminates at the Noida Indoor Stadium, where UPKL Season 2 comes alive, seamlessly connecting childhood dreams with the professional stage.
Commenting on the campaign, Sambhav Jain, Founder and Director, SJ Uplift Kabaddi, said that kabaddi in Uttar Pradesh begins in streets, open grounds and everyday spaces. He noted that the film reflects the sport’s natural journey from grassroots passion to organised competition, reinforcing UPKL’s belief in nurturing local talent while building a league that truly belongs to the people of the state.
The campaign film will be released across television and digital platforms as part of an integrated marketing push leading up to the new season. UPKL Season 2 will feature 12 teams competing in 69 matches over 18 days, with all fixtures hosted at the Noida Indoor Stadium. Matches will be broadcast on Zee Bollywood, &Pictures HD, Anmol Cinema 2 and streamed on ZEE5, ensuring wide reach among kabaddi fans across the region.
