On the occasion of the legendary actor, producer and filmmaker’s 103rd birth anniversary on September 26, Ultra Play and Ultra Media & Entertainment are celebrating his enduring legacy with a curated selection of his evergreen films for audiences to revisit over the weekend.

According to a press release, Ultra Media & Entertainment said the initiative is aimed at celebrating Dev Anand’s distinctive acting style, memorable performances and musical legacy while introducing his work to a new generation of cinema viewers. The curated selection features several of his popular films, including ‘Asli Naqli’, ‘Tere Ghar Ke Samne’, ‘Guide’, ‘CID’, ‘Hum Dono’, ‘Jaali Note’, ‘Manzil’, ‘The Return of the Jewel Thief’, ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘Warrant and Baarish’.

Speaking about the initiative, Sushilkumar Agrawal, Founder & CEO, Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, said Dev Anand represented a spirit of youth, style and storytelling that continues to connect with audiences. He added that the collection gives longtime fans an opportunity to revisit his films while allowing younger viewers to discover the actor’s contribution to Hindi cinema.

Among the films featured in the collection is ‘Guide’ (1965), one of Dev Anand’s most recognised performances. Directed by Vijay Anand, the film follows Raju, a tourist guide whose life takes an unexpected turn as he navigates love, ambition, failure and redemption. Its music, storytelling and performances have helped the film remain a significant part of Hindi cinema’s history.

‘The Return of the Jewel Thief’ (1967)’ brings together mystery, glamour and suspense, with Dev Anand in a stylish thriller. The film, known for its ensemble cast, music and intricate storyline, remains associated with the sophisticated thrillers of its era.
