Actor Jackie Shroff will appear on the Grand Finale of ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’, where he will recall the support he received from legendary actor-filmmaker Dev Anand, who gave him his first opportunity in films.

According to a SET press release from Mumbai, the two-day Grand Finale of ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’ will air on September 26 and 27 on Sony Entertainment Television and will also stream on Sony LIV. 

Jackie will join judges Karisma Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis for the finale.

During the finale, Jackie recalled his early days in films and an action sequence where Dev Anand supported him. He remembered Dev Anand reassuring the crew by saying, “Take it easy, naya ladka hai.”

Jackie said Dev Anand’s words gave him the confidence to take on the challenge.

Jackie’s story also reflected the journey of the contestants on ‘India’s Best Dancer’, who have grown in confidence throughout the season with the guidance and encouragement of the judges.

During the season, the contestants explored different dance forms while showcasing their creativity, technique and individual styles.

The Top 5 finalists Prathamesh Mane, Geetanjali Marwaha, Anshika Dhara, Dipali Borkar and Ritesh Pal will perform in the grand finale as they compete for the winner’s trophy. The show is hosted by Harssh Limbachiyaa.

The judges have also praised the contestants for their growth during the season. Karisma, Jaaferi, Kapur and Terence highlighted how the dancers became more confident, explored different styles and developed their own identities as performers.
