TV9 Network, India’s leading news broadcaster, is set to host the second edition of the News9 Global Summit – Germany Edition from October 9–10, 2025, in Stuttgart, marking a significant milestone in the India-Germany strategic partnership. The summit, themed ‘Democracy | Demography | Development: The India-Germany Connect,’ brings together policymakers, corporate leaders, and thought leaders to explore opportunities in trade, technology, and bilateral collaboration.
According to a TV9 Network press release, the summit is presented by the Government of Maharashtra and the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), co-hosted by VfB Stuttgart, and supported by the State of Baden-Württemberg. The event builds on a pan-German footprint that began in Berlin on October 6, where over 200 innovators, startups, and investors participated in the official launch at the AXICA Convention Centre. The opening included a keynote by H.E. Ajit Gupte, India’s Ambassador to Germany, and a News9-moderated dialogue on the automotive sector, setting the stage for the main event in Stuttgart.
Barun Das, MD & CEO of TV9 Network, emphasized the summit’s strategic significance: “The Germany Edition of the News9 Global Summit arrives at a pivotal moment when the India-Germany partnership is not just marking 25 years, but also redefining the next 25. This Summit is about more than dialogue; it is about building trust in a multipolar world. Stuttgart, a hub of engineering, innovation, and diplomacy, provides the perfect backdrop for India’s narrative as the world’s fastest-growing major economy.”
The summit boasts a robust coalition of partners, with Fintiba and Barmer as Gold Partners, MHP – A Porsche Company and Tata Ace Pro as Silver Partners, and TK as Health Partner. Associate partners include MMRDA, CIDCO, Maharashtra Tourism, and SRA Brihan Mumbai, while GICC drives the innovation agenda, with Karlsruhe as Session Partner and A Heinrich as Celebration Partner.
The event features a stellar lineup of policymakers and industry leaders from Germany and Europe, including Johann David Wadephul, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Nina Warken, Federal Minister of Health, Maroš Šefčovič, European Commissioner for Trade, along with regional leaders such as Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, and Frank Nopper, Lord Mayor of Stuttgart. From India, virtual participation includes Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, while in-person dignitaries include Anurag Singh Thakur and Uday Samant.
The summit also welcomes corporate and innovation leaders, including Andreas Lapp, Joachim Erdle, Bernd-Otto Hörmann, Anja Hendel, Honza Ngo, Jan-Frederik Dammenhain, Karl-Heinz Grossmann, Captain Michael Giss, and Gunnar Mey. From India, leaders such as Vivek Lall, Pankaj Vyas, Anandi Iyer, and Ujjwal Jyoti will provide insights on industry trends, while creative voices including Chef Kunal Kapur and Captain Zoya Agarwal will add cultural depth.
The News9 Global Summit 2025 – Germany Edition underscores the growing collaboration between India and Germany, celebrating 25 years of strategic partnership while charting a path for deeper engagement across democracy, demography, and development, and strengthening bilateral ties in the years to come.
