TV9 Bangla is all set to return with its flagship festive offering, ‘TV9 Bangla Sharadiya’, under the theme ‘Pujo Ebar TV9 Banglaye’. This year’s line-up promises a unique blend of information, entertainment, and heritage, designed to resonate with Bengalis across the globe.
According to a press release, the celebrations will begin on Mahalaya with ‘Panch Nari Hatey Torobari’—a special tribute to five iconic women including theatre pioneer Noti Binodini, writer-activist Mahasweta Devi, Rabindrasangeet exponent Suchitra Mitra, geologist Sudipta Sengupta, and legendary cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The Mahalaya special airs on September 21 from 7 am to 9 pm.
The festive schedule features a host of engaging programmes. ‘Pujor Adda’ will bring Bengal’s favourite stars like Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Srijit Mukherji, and Srabanti Chatterjee in candid festive conversations from Sasthi to Nabami. ‘Bonedi Barir Pujo’ will showcase the grandeur of Durga Puja in Bengal’s aristocratic mansions, while Annya Durga will honour real-life heroines whose resilience and courage inspire society.
Another highlight is the TV9 Bangla Puja Competition, where communities across the state will compete across multiple categories including Best Locality Puja, Best Theme, Best Idol, Women-led Puja, and Best District Puja. With telecasts scheduled from September 26 to October 1, the competition will celebrate Bengal’s creativity, devotion, and social commitment.
Speaking about the initiative, Amritanshu Bhattacharya, Managing Editor & Business Head, TV9 Bangla, said, “TV9 Bangla’s Puja programme is going to be even more colourful this time. There are multiple lively events woven around the theme of excitement and enthusiasm festival. And to top it, we have decided to celebrate the rise of women power. So, this Puja, you can’t miss TV9 Bangla’s screen.”
By weaving together heritage, entertainment, and social inspiration, ‘TV9 Bangla Sharadiya’ promises to keep audiences glued to their screens throughout the festive season, staying true to its promise—’Pujo Ebar TV9 Banglaye’.
