After winning hearts with its popular comedy shows like ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’ and ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’, &TV is all set to add another entertaining show to its comedy roster. The channel has announced the launch of ‘Gharwali Pedwali’, a light-hearted family drama with a humorous supernatural twist that promises daily laughter, chaos, and unexpected turns. The show is being produced by Peninsula Productions.
The upcoming show follows the story of Prithvi Mishra, lovingly called Jeetu, who finds himself constantly juggling double responsibilities—two fathers, two mothers, two bosses—and now, unexpectedly, two wives. While Jeetu dreams of a simple married life with his modern and independent bride Savi, fate takes a strange turn just before their wedding. An unforeseen astrological warning prompts a symbolic ritual, in which Jeetu is married to a sacred tree. But the twist doesn’t end there—the tree comes alive in the form of a spirit named Latika, who believes she’s Jeetu’s true and eternal wife.
The result? A domestic comedy of errors as Jeetu tries to maintain peace between his living wife and a rather possessive supernatural one. The humorous tug-of-war between Savi and Latika creates a new kind of love triangle that blends traditional family values with quirky, magical misadventures.
This unique plot, built on a seemingly impossible marital situation, aims to deliver hearty laughs while exploring emotional undercurrents in a modern Indian family. The blend of the supernatural and the familiar dynamics of daily life is likely to strike a chord with viewers looking for content that is both relatable and refreshingly different.
With ‘Gharwali Pedwali’, &TV reinforces its commitment to offering varied storytelling that stays true to its family entertainment ethos while experimenting with new flavors. The channel continues to create fiction shows that resonate with audiences across age groups, and this new addition is expected to strengthen its comedy line-up further.
‘Gharwali Pedwali’ is scheduled to premiere soon on &TV.
