Produced by acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and directed by Avinash Arun, the series marks Hirani’s OTT debut and also introduces his son, Vir Hirani, in a lead role alongside Arshad Warsi. The show also features Vikrant Massey, Mona Singh and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
Set against the backdrop of Goa, ‘Pritam and Pedro’ follows an unlikely partnership between Pedro, an old-school police officer played by Arshad Warsi, and Pritam, a young tech expert portrayed by Vir Hirani. Despite coming from completely different worlds, the duo finds themselves drawn into a complex investigation involving cybercrime, hackers and a mysterious kidnapping case. As they delve deeper into the case, they encounter a series of challenges that test their abilities and their relationship.
The trailer showcases a blend of comedy, mystery and adventure while hinting at a larger conspiracy involving Vikrant Massey’s character, whose role remains largely under wraps. The fast-paced preview combines humour with suspense, suggesting a narrative packed with surprises and emotional moments.
Speaking about the series, Rajkumar Hirani said the relationship between the two central characters was what attracted him most to the story. He noted that Pritam and Pedro have contrasting outlooks on life, but circumstances force them onto the same journey. Director Avinash Arun described the show as an unpredictable ride that explores not only entertainment and humour but also the depth of human relationships.
Arshad Warsi said Pedro is a character who trusts his instincts and life experiences rather than overthinking situations, often landing himself in unexpected circumstances. Vikrant Massey added that the multi-layered storyline, packed with comedy, suspense and emotional depth, was what drew him to the project. Vir Hirani described the series as a valuable learning experience and credited the cast and crew for helping him grow as an actor.
The trailer has already generated considerable buzz online, with viewers praising the chemistry between Arshad Warsi and Vir Hirani, as well as the show’s intriguing mix of comedy and mystery. With its unique premise and strong ensemble cast, ‘Pritam and Pedro’ is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated streaming releases of the season.
