Toonz Entertainment, the distribution arm of global kids and family entertainment powerhouse Toonz Media Group, has secured worldwide distribution rights for the acclaimed Bilibili-produced 3D series ‘Mech Car.’
The Chinese fantasy animation series, spanning 52 episodes of 11 minutes each, caters to children aged 6 to 10, offering an adventurous tale of courage, exploration, and problem-solving. The narrative revolves around Dash, a Mech-shaped car, and his friends as they embark on a mission to save Mech Lands from villains by collecting mystical gems imbued with special powers, the company said in a press release.
Toonz Entertainment will exclusively distribute ‘Mech Car’ in EMEA, LATAM, North America, Russia, and CIS. The Toonz Group also holds non-exclusive distribution rights in APAC, encompassing the Indian Subcontinent but excluding China, Japan, and Korea.
‘Mech Car’ has garnered recognition, including the ‘Best Director Animation Short’ award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. Additionally, it was honored by the National Radio and Television Administration of the People’s Republic of China as the ‘Best Kids Animation 2019.’
