Toonz Academy, in collaboration with Karma Play Academy, has announced the inaugural lecture for their ‘Meet the Masters’ series in 2024.
The first lecture, titled ‘Video Game Publishing Through the Decades,’ will be delivered by industry veteran Richard M. Holmes, a celebrated entrepreneur with a career spanning over three decades in the gaming sector.

Richard M. Holmes brings a wealth of experience to the lecture, having played a pivotal role in the gaming industry since 1993. He has held key positions as a founder, board director, and investor across various domains such as games publishing, video games development, social network games, mobile games, and online gaming.
Holmes has designed, produced, and published three number-one hit computer games—Tactical Manager, The Settlers, and Football Glory—and has contributed to the development or publication of over 400 other games across multiple platforms. In this lecture, Holmes will share his personal journey, his experiences with the transformation of the gaming industry over the decades, and his perspective on its current and future landscape.
