Prime Video’s highly anticipated ‘The Family Man’ Season 3 made a powerful impact at the gala premiere of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa where the first episode was screened to a packed auditorium.
The premiere was attended by key cast and creators, including Manoj Bajpayee, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nimrat Kaur, Raj & DK, and writer-director Suman Kumar, along with Sahira Nair, Head of Hindi Scripted Series, Prime Video India. The team was formally felicitated by Prabhat, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
In a statement, Prime Video said the screening was met with loud applause, cheers and an overwhelmingly positive response from both fans and critics—setting the tone for what is expected to be one of the platform’s biggest seasons yet.
For creators Raj and DK, returning to IFFI was a nostalgic moment. “Watching the first episode of Season 3 with such a wonderful audience, and receiving this kind of love, was an incredible experience,” they said. They added that the team had worked hard to make the new season “bigger, better, and even more entertaining,” expressing confidence that viewers would thoroughly enjoy the narrative turn.
Bajpayee, who reprises his iconic role as Srikant Tiwari, called the character “deeply relatable,” despite his spy persona. “‘The Family Man’ has helped me reach a much wider audience, and the love that people have shown over the years has been truly overwhelming,” he said, expressing his excitement for the global premiere.
The season also introduces new antagonists, led by Ahlawat, who plays Rukma. Speaking about his role, Ahlawat said it was “very different from any of my previous characters” and that taking on a negative role opposite Srikant Tiwari offered a refreshing challenge.
Kaur, who joins as Meera, said she was thrilled to be a part of “one of the most-loved franchises on streaming worldwide.”
Produced under Raj & DK’s banner D2R Films, ‘The Family Man’ Season 3 takes the franchise in a high-stakes new direction. With Srikant Tiwari now on the run—targeted by both dangerous adversaries and TASC, his own intelligence unit—the hunter becomes the hunted in a season packed with suspense, action, and emotional upheaval.
The cast also includes returning favourites such as Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Gul Panag.
Written by Raj, DK and Suman Kumar, with dialogues by Sumit Arora, the season is jointly directed by Raj & DK, Suman Kumar and Tusshar Seyth.
‘The Family Man’ Season 3 is now streaming on Prime Video across India and in more than 240 countries and territories.
