This Independence Day, Tata Play Binge is inviting viewers to go beyond the flag-waving celebrations and immerse themselves in gripping tales of grit, sacrifice, and national pride. From nail-biting thrillers to stirring biopics, the platform has curated a special line-up of films and series that capture the spirit of India’s heroes — both celebrated and unsung.
According to a press release, the collection features titles such as ‘Tehran, Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Airlift’, ‘Indian Police Force’, and ‘Sam Bahadur’. Each story brings its own shade of patriotism, from battlefield courage to extraordinary civilian heroics, ensuring there’s something to stir every heart.
The line-up kicks off with ‘Tehran’, starring John Abraham as an Indian agent on a high-stakes mission in the Middle East. Inspired by the 2012 attacks on Israeli diplomats, the Arun Gopalan-directed thriller — releasing August 15 — promises suspense, action, and a tribute to those who work in the shadows. Also on the list is the blockbuster ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, with Vicky Kaushal’s unforgettable portrayal of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, retelling the events of India’s 2016 surgical strikes.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ revisits the largest civilian evacuation in history during the 1990 Gulf War, while Rohit Shetty’s action-packed ‘Indian Police Force’ follows Delhi’s elite cops taking on a terror threat. Rounding off the line-up is Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’, with Vicky Kaushal embodying Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in a moving tribute to his military legacy.
Tata Play Binge subscribers can enjoy these titles and more through its single subscription service, offering access to over 30 OTT platforms — including JioHotstar, Apple TV+, ZEE5, Sun NXT, and Lionsgate Play — all in one app without juggling multiple logins or passwords.
