Spotify has announced a notable change to its annual ‘Spotify Wrapped’, the personalized year-end music summary that millions of users anticipate each year.
Traditionally, Spotify Wrapped captures users’ listening habits until October 31, but this year, the data collection period has been extended. Spotify teased the change on X (formerly Twitter), though the precise end date for tracking has not yet been disclosed, The TOI has reported.
This expansion could mean that tracks listened to in November—and possibly even early December—will now be included in users’ Wrapped summaries. The move has sparked excitement, as well as some light-hearted reactions on social media, with users joking about switching up their music choices in the extra months to tailor their Wrapped results.
Spotify Wrapped provides listeners with an in-depth, shareable recap of their music habits, including top artists, songs, and genres, displayed in a graphic format similar to Instagram Stories.
