After a decade-long journey marked by strategic communications and reputation leadership, Humsa Dhir, Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), has announced her departure from the company.
In a press release issued by the network, SPNI credited Dhir with shaping its corporate narrative, managing crises with maturity, and driving reputation-building across its broadcast, digital, and sports businesses since joining in 2015. During her tenure, she also chaired the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee for two terms, steered social media governance, and introduced the award-winning Go-Beyond Podcast, which set benchmarks in corporate storytelling.
With over two decades of experience across media, energy, manufacturing, and automotive sectors, Dhir has advised CXOs and boards across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East on trust building, change management, and long-term value creation.
Manu Wadhwa, Chief Human Resources Officer at SPNI, praised Dhir’s contribution, saying, “Humsa has been an exceptional custodian of SPNI’s reputation and values. Her ability to craft compelling narratives, build meaningful stakeholder engagement, and lead with integrity has left a lasting imprint on the organisation. We will truly miss her insight, her partnership, and the calm confidence she always brought to the table.”
Reflecting on her decade at SPNI, Dhir said, “Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of building and leading a communications function that shaped how the company was perceived, understood, and trusted. The role called for equal measure of strategy and sensitivity, offering me immense opportunities to grow as a professional and as a person. As I close this chapter, I do so with deep gratitude and a clear sense of readiness to take this experience into new environments, embrace broader mandates, and continue driving impact through purposeful storytelling and reputation leadership.”
Sony Pictures Networks India, now known legally as Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited, is a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, Japan, and operates 28 channels along with Sony LIV, its OTT platform. As the network marks its 30th year in India, it credited Dhir for her significant role in shaping its reputation during a pivotal period of growth and transformation.
