Sony LIV is set to premiere its upcoming Malayalam Original ‘EYES’ on October 9. The behavioural crime drama explores the darker side of love and obsession, looking at how affection can gradually turn into control, fear and danger.

According to a Sony LIV press release from Mumbai today, the series centres on police officer Tina Sebastian, played by Kani Kusruti, who finds herself drawn into cases where love, obsession and control begin to cross the line.

As Tina investigates, the boundaries between affection and danger start to blur, bringing fear, vulnerability and uncertainty to the surface.

Tina gets closer to the truth, she discovers that what lies behind the cases may be far more unsettling than she initially expected. The series explores stalking and the impact it can have on a person’s sense of safety, while presenting the subject through the format of a gripping crime thriller.

Speaking about the series, director Manu Ashokan said that ‘EYES’ is a story he wanted to tell with honesty and sensitivity. He said stalking is not just a crime but can deeply affect a person’s sense of safety. He added that the team has tried to capture that reality while keeping the series engaging as a thriller.

‘EYES’ is directed by Manu Ashokan and written by Bobby-Sanjay, based on a story by Anjana Nayar. The series marks Ashokan’s reunion with the writing duo following their earlier collaborations ‘Uyare’ and ‘Kaanekkaane’.

Produced by DreamKatcher, the series also features Nikhila Vimal, Dev Mohan, Saniya Iyappan and Shruthi in key roles.

The series focuses on the blurred line between affection, obsession and control, while highlighting the fear and vulnerability that can emerge when relationships cross boundaries.

‘EYES’ will premiere on Friday, October 9, 2026, exclusively on Sony LIV.
