Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, has officially appointed Grace Kao as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), just two weeks before the company releases its Q1 earnings report. This move signals a strategic push to solidify Snap’s marketing leadership during a critical phase for the platform.
Kao joined Snap only in December 2024 as Vice President of Consumer and Business Marketing but has already made a strong impression across the organization.
In an internal memo, Snap CEO and co-founder Evan Spiegel praised her swift and significant contributions, saying, “Grace has already demonstrated significant impact… I’m excited to deepen our work together in her new role.”
She replaces Colleen DeCourcy, the company’s Chief Creative Officer since May 2022, who has been leading marketing efforts since the departure of former CMO Kenny Mitchell in April 2023.
