JioCinema has announced a new partnership with global travel app Skyscanner for its popular free-to-play contest, ‘Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan’, coinciding with Bangladesh’s tour of India.
This marks one of Skyscanner’s first significant ventures in the Indian market. The collaboration will enhance the interactive fan experience during the tour, which includes two Test matches and three T20Is from September 19 to October 12, 2024.
Through this partnership, JioCinema aims to build on its success in gamifying sports content, offering fans not only engaging experiences but also chances to win travel vouchers and discounts for both domestic and international travel. Every matchday of the series will give participants the opportunity to win prizes, courtesy of Skyscanner, enhancing the excitement of the live sports streaming experience.
‘Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan’, launched during the 2023 TATA IPL season, has become an instant hit, amassing over 100 million users and 2 billion plays to date. Fans have won a range of prizes, including over 100 motor vehicles, 70+ smart TVs, and gold vouchers worth INR 1.5 crores. With the partnership with Skyscanner, Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan continues to elevate its appeal by offering travel vouchers, further expanding its offerings.
“We are proud to have Skyscanner present Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan for the India v Bangladesh T20I series,” said a Viacom18 spokesperson. “Our efforts to gamify sports content have created a unique opportunity for fans and brands alike. Skyscanner’s decision to partner with us for their first major Indian campaign affirms the value of our platform.”
Glosinda Goes, APAC Lead for Affiliate and Performance Partnerships at Skyscanner, commented on the collaboration, “This partnership offers a fantastic way to engage with Indian cricket fans. By combining the thrill of the match with opportunities to win travel vouchers, we’re excited to showcase Skyscanner’s travel services to a broader audience in India.”
Participants can access Jeeto Dhan Dhana Dhan during the livestream by answering questions that appear on their screen between overs, with travel vouchers from Goibibo, Paytm, and Happy Fares up for grabs. This collaboration represents a growing trend of gamification in Indian entertainment, and JioCinema continues to lead the way with engaging and rewarding experiences for fans.
