Actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda has officially locked his next project, teaming up with director Swaroop RSJ for an upcoming film that is set to go on floors soon.
The project will be produced by Naga Vamsi Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, marking another notable collaboration in Telugu cinema.
According to an ANI report, Sithara Entertainments announced the project by unveiling a pre-announcement poster on its official X handle. Tentatively titled ‘Sithara Entertainments – Production No. 40’, the poster hints at a high-energy entertainer and signals Siddhu’s return to a space where he has built a strong fan following.
Sharing the update, the production house wrote, “Locked. Loaded. No brakes. No filters. Star Boy Siddhu Jonnalagadda back in his element! Directed by Swaroop RSJ. The pre-announcement of Sithara Entertainments – Production No.40 is here, and it’s ready to roll soon!”
Siddhu was last seen in ‘Telusu Kada’, which also starred Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty. The film was directed by debutant Neeraja Kona and produced by T. G. Vishwa Prasad, Vipin Agnihotri and Vivek Kuchibhotla under the People Media Factory banner. While the film showcased Siddhu in a different space, his popularity largely stems from his performances in the ‘DJ Tillu’ franchise.
The actor rose to prominence with ‘DJ Tillu’ and its sequel ‘Tillu Square’, both of which struck a chord with audiences for their quirky humour and Siddhu’s distinctive screen presence. ‘Tillu Square’ followed the journey of DJ Tillu as he navigates fresh troubles after a chance encounter at a party, while also confronting unresolved issues from his past. The film starred Anupama Parameswaran alongside Siddhu and featured performances by Muralidhar Goud and others.
Written by Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Mallik Ram, who also directed the sequel, ‘Tillu Square’ was produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. The film’s music was composed by Sricharan Pakala and Ram Miriyala, further adding to its appeal.
