Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Rama from ‘Ramayana’ was unveiled on Thursday, offering audiences a glimpse into one of the most ambitious mythological films currently in production.
According to a PTI report, the makers released a two-minute-and-38-second teaser titled ‘Rama’ on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The teaser introduces viewers to the film’s expansive world, featuring sweeping visuals of battlefields, grand palaces and dense forests, while showcasing Kapoor in regal attire, adorned with traditional jewellery, embodying the warrior-king of Ayodhya.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for critically acclaimed projects like ‘Dangal’ and ‘Chhichhore’. Tiwari revealed that the project has been in development for nearly seven years, underlining the scale, planning and creative effort that has gone into bringing the epic to life.
Backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the film is being positioned as a landmark cinematic event, with a strong focus on visual storytelling and production design. The teaser hints at a blend of traditional narrative elements with modern filmmaking techniques, aiming to reintroduce the timeless story to contemporary audiences.
While further details around the cast and release timeline remain under wraps, the unveiling of Kapoor’s look has already generated significant buzz, with the film expected to be a major milestone in the mythological genre upon its release.
