NDTV has appointed seasoned ad-sales executive Saurabh Goel as the national revenue head of its business news channel, NDTV Profit, marking his return to the network with an expanded leadership mandate. The move signals NDTV’s renewed focus on strengthening its revenue strategy amid evolving market dynamics in the news broadcasting space.
Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Goel shared that he has taken charge as national revenue head – NDTV Profit at NDTV Network, expressing appreciation to senior leadership for the opportunity. The appointment comes as NDTV sharpens its commercial approach for its business news offering, at a time when broadcasters are navigating fragmented audiences and cautious advertiser spending.
Goel brings with him over two decades of experience in media sales across television, radio and digital platforms. His journey with NDTV in recent months has been marked by rapid progression. He served as revenue head at NDTV Profit in February 2026 before being elevated to the national revenue head role within the same month. Prior to this, he was revenue head – West at NDTV Network from July 2025 to February 2026, overseeing key regional markets.
Before rejoining NDTV, Goel spent more than 17 years with ABP Network, where he held multiple senior roles. As group account director from June 2021 to July 2025, he was responsible for leading corporate business for the northern region, handling business development, strategic planning, customer relationships and B2B partnerships. His long tenure at ABP also included a 13-year stint as account director from 2008 to 2021, during which he managed ad-sales revenue for channels such as ABP News, ABP Ananda and ABP Majha, working closely with corporate advertisers, media agencies and brand partners to drive yield and strengthen the advertising portfolio.
Earlier in his career, Goel worked with ETV Network between 2006 and 2008, where he managed DAVP and PSU business, and with Radio Today 93.5 FM from 2005 to 2006, handling airtime sales in the New Delhi market. This diverse experience across media formats has shaped his understanding of advertiser needs in a rapidly changing ecosystem.
For NDTV Profit, Goel’s appointment points to a sharper focus on monetisation as business news channels look beyond conventional spot advertising to unlock new revenue streams. For Goel, the role represents a homecoming with higher stakes, as the challenge now lies in converting viewership and credibility into sustainable revenue growth in an increasingly competitive news market.
