Sara Ali Khan announced on Sunday that she has completed filming for the Amazon original film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’.
The film is billed as a thriller drama based on true events. Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer, who is also directing the project, wrote it.
Sara took to her Instagram Stories to share the picture of the wrap-up cake with the message, “It’s a wrap, Tune-in-to 42.34m”.
“AE WATAN MERE WATAN,” the post’s caption read. The 27-year-old actor will play a “valiant, lion-hearted freedom fighter” in “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” a fictional story set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942.
‘Ae Watan Mere Watan,’ a Dharmatic Entertainment production, is supported by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, with Somen Mishra serving as co-producer.
Sara’s upcoming projects include Laxman Utekar’s untitled next film with Vicky Kaushal, Pawan Kriplani’s ‘Gaslight’ opposite Vikrant Massey, and Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro… In Dino’ with Aditya Roy Kapur.
Her last release was 2021’s ‘Atrangi Re’.
