The much-anticipated horror-comedy DD Next Level, starring Santhanam, has released its first look on the actor’s birthday. The film, directed by S. Prem Anand, is the latest installment in the wildly popular ‘Dhillukku Duddu’ (DD) franchise and promises to take the laughter and thrills to the next level, IANS reported.
Adding a unique twist to this sequel, acclaimed filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon takes on a pivotal role in ‘DD Next Level’. Santhanam reprises his role as the franchise’s charming and comedic protagonist, ensuring fans can look forward to a laugh riot.
The film begins its adventure on a cruise ship and transitions to a mysterious island, setting the stage for a hilarious and thrilling ride. Director Prem Anand, who helmed the successful DD Returns, has assured fans that this installment will be “more exciting and hilarious,” appealing to audiences of all ages.
Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People, with actor Arya presenting the film, DD Next Level is being crafted on a massive budget. Lavish sets have been constructed to bring the story’s unique locations to life.
Shooting is nearing completion, with the film expected to hit theaters in May 2025.
