A rib-tickling anecdote from the sets of ‘Housefull’ turned into a laugh riot on the upcoming episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune’, as Riteish Deshmukh shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes moment involving Akshay Kumar and Chunky Panday.
As per a press release, Riteish recalled that during the shoot of ‘Housefull 1’, Chunky Panday had become so immersed in his much-loved character Aakhri Pasta that he began behaving like an Italian in real life. The incident unfolded during a balcony shoot, when a group of Italian girls stopped by to watch the filming, clearly enjoying the spectacle.
Taking the story forward, Riteish narrated how Chunky struck up a conversation with the girls, asking them whether they liked the shoot, to which they responded enthusiastically. Chunky then pointed towards Akshay Kumar and asked if they recognised him. When the girls replied that they had heard Akshay was a big star, Chunky confidently corrected them, saying, “No, no, he is my duplicate. I am the big star,” leaving everyone on set, including Akshay himself, in splits.
The laughter didn’t end there. Riteish added that once the shoot wrapped up and Akshay stepped away, the same girls queued up to take autographs—not from Akshay, but from Chunky Panday—triggering another wave of laughter on the show.
The amusing anecdote had both the contestants and the audience in splits, turning the episode into a memorable comic moment. ‘Wheel of Fortune’, hosted by Akshay Kumar, airs every Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
