Reliance Jio has announced its True 5G services are now available in 406 cities, making it the first and only telecom provider to achieve such a broad network in such a short period.
The company announced the launch of its True 5G services in 41 new cities across 16 States/Union Territories in Adoni, Badvel, Chilakaluripet, Gudivada, Kadiri, Narsapur, Rayachoti, Srikalahasti, Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh), Margao (Goa), Fatehabad, Gohana, Hansi, Narnaul, Palwal (Haryana) and Paonta Sahib (Himachal (Karnataka).
Other cities include Kanhangad, Nedumangad, Taliparamba, Thalassery, Thiruvalla (Kerala), Betul, Dewas, Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh), Bhandara, Wardha (Maharashtra), Lunglei (Mizoram), Byasanagar, Rayagada (Odisha), Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Tonk (Rajasthan) and Karaikudi (Tripura), IANS reported from New Delhi.
“Jio is rapidly expanding its True-5G reach and has already completed a large portion of the planned True-5G network in this country.We are extremely proud to cover the majority of the country,” a company spokeswoman stated.
Starting Tuesday, Jio consumers in these 41 cities will be encouraged to enjoy the Jio Welcome Offer, which includes unlimited data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps+ at no extra cost.
Meanwhile, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, has stated that Reliance Jio is on track to meet its stated objective of expanding the Jio 5G footprint to encompass every town, taluka, and tehsil across the country by December of this year.
