Bollywood star Ranveer Singh on Sunday introduced R Madhavan’s character from the upcoming film ‘Dhurandhar’, describing him as the “Charioteer of Karma.” The film, directed by Rohit Dhawan, is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious mythological epics in Indian cinema, blending philosophy, action, and grandeur.
According to an ANI report, Ranveer took to his social media handles to share Madhavan’s first-look poster, which features the actor in an intense, regal avatar, exuding both wisdom and power. The caption read, “Behold the Charioteer of Karma — the one who steers destiny through truth and duty. Introducing R Madhavan as Shastradhari, the guiding force of Dhurandhar.”
The striking poster immediately caught the attention of fans, with many praising Madhavan’s commanding presence and the film’s cinematic scale. Dressed in a warrior-inspired ensemble, the actor appears amidst a dramatic backdrop of fire and storm — a visual metaphor for the film’s central theme of moral conflict and destiny.
‘Dhurandhar’, which also stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, is said to explore the eternal battle between dharma (righteousness) and karma (action). The film is being produced under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and is currently in the final stages of production.
R Madhavan, who was last seen in ‘Shaitaan’, expressed his excitement about the project, saying in a recent interview that ‘Dhurandhar’ is unlike anything he has ever done before. “It’s a story that transcends time. Playing this role feels both spiritual and cinematic — it’s a journey of understanding the power of action and consequence,” he said.
Ranveer Singh’s collaboration with Madhavan has already generated massive buzz, as audiences eagerly await the release of ‘Dhurandhar’, which promises to deliver a visually stunning and thought-provoking cinematic experience. The film is slated for release in mid-2026.
