Actor Randeep Hooda has joined the cast of Gopichandh Malineni’s upcoming action film ‘SDGM’ starring Sunny Deol, he announced on his 48th birthday on Tuesday, PTI reported.
“Excited to be a part of this action feast – #SDGM. Cannot wait to get on sets with @iamsunnydeol Paaji and the entire team. As promised, this will be a MASS FEAST,” the Highway actor wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of him.
Malineni also dropped the picture on X and wished the actor on his birthday. “Welcome aboard the most versatile actor @RandeepHooda sir. Wishing you a very happy birthday from team #SDGM,” the director, known for his Telugu films like Veera Simha Reddy and Krack, wrote.
On June 20, Sunny took to X and shared a concept poster to announce the upcoming film. “Make way for the biggest action film of the country – #SDGM. Starring Action Superstar @iamsunnydeol. Directed by @megopichand. Produced by @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy. Mass feast loading. Shoot begins soon,” he wrote.
Touted as ‘the biggest actioner of the country’, SDGM is produced by Neveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar and T.G. Vishwa Prasad under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. Rishi Punjabi serves as the cinematographer. The music for the film has been scored by Thaman S.
Also starring Regina Cassandra and Saiyami Kher, ‘SDGM’ will go on floors soon.
Randeep last featured in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, which was also directed, produced and written by him. Before that, he starred in the comedy film Tera Kya Hoga Lovely alongside Ileana D’Cruz.
Sunny, on the other hand, will be next seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film Lahore 1947 alongside Preity Zinta. Lahore 1947 is produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and marks the first collaboration between Sunny and Aamir.
