The highly anticipated film ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, has officially been announced, much to the excitement of fans.
After months of circulating rumors and leaks about the cast, including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Arun Govil as Dashrath, and KGF 2 star Yash as Raavan, the film’s producer, Namit Malhotra, took to Instagram to confirm the details, IANS reported.
The epic will be released in two parts, with Part 1 slated for Diwali 2026 and Part 2 for Diwali 2027. Malhotra expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen… Today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully.” He emphasized the team’s dedication to delivering an authentic, visually stunning adaptation of India’s most revered epic.
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra also weighed in on Kapoor’s casting as Lord Ram, explaining that the actor’s unique qualities align perfectly with the essence of the character. Currently, Kapoor is also working on ‘Love and War’ by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, making this a busy year for the actor.
Fans can now eagerly anticipate the grand spectacle of ‘Ramayana’, which promises to bring the legendary tale to life with pride and reverence.
