ABP Network has announced the appointment of Rajat Uppal as the Business Head for its soon-to-be-launched ‘Concerts & Large Events’ vertical. Uppal, a seasoned media and marketing professional with over two decades of experience, will spearhead ABP’s foray into large-scale consumer and experiential events.
The development was shared through a LinkedIn post update, where the network welcomed Uppal to the team. Before joining ABP, he served as the Business Head at Stage Aaj Tak, the consumer events arm of the India Today Group, which he helped establish earlier this year. During his tenure, he played a key role in curating the ‘Millionaire Tour with Yo Yo Honey Singh’, which became one of India’s most successful comeback tours, setting a new benchmark in the live entertainment space.
Before joining ABP Network, Uppal held senior leadership positions at India Today Group, RED FM, HT Media, and Reliance Broadcast, where he built expertise in brand strategy, experiential marketing, and event IP development. His career has been defined by a unique blend of strategic thinking and creative execution, earning him recognition across India’s media and marketing landscape.
With this new appointment, ABP Network aims to expand its business horizons and establish a strong foothold in the country’s rapidly growing live events and entertainment sector.
